How to play Firefly Loop
- Press and draw a loop round all the fireflies, then bring the line back to where you started. It snaps shut on its own.
- Every firefly must end up inside the loop and every wasp outside it, at the moment it closes.
- Letting go near the start also closes it. Letting go anywhere else drops the line, so you can start again.
- On difficulty 5, six swarms: a still cluster, a group with a wasp circling it, wasps weaving through, a long line, a wasp circling inside a triangle, and a cluster that darts away from your pen. The daily layout shuffles the order a little, flips some swarms left to right, and always ends on the darting cluster.
- You start on difficulty 3 of 10. Clear a difficulty to unlock the next: the bugs move faster, and difficulties 8â10 add mirrored swarms. Difficulties 1â3 have fewer swarms and slower bugs. Pick any unlocked difficulty with the arrows on the start card.
- A firefly left out or a wasp caught ends the run. 45 seconds.
Tips
- The bugs keep moving while you draw, so aim the loop at where they will be, not where they are.
- A loop can bend inward round a wasp. It doesnât have to be a circle.
- Wasps come and go. Waiting a second for one to move out of the way is often faster than drawing round it.
- On the last swarm, circle from the outside: fireflies run from the pen, so they bunch up in the middle.
- Everyone gets the same swarms all day, and new ones at midnight UTC. âPractice a new layoutâ deals fresh swarms any time, off the leaderboard.
