How to play Who Left?
- A room of monsters stands in the lamplight. Look at them while the bar under them runs down.
- The lamp flickers out and the door creaks: one of them has left. When the lights come back, tap the card with the face of the one who left.
- The other cards are someone still in the room, a stranger who was never there, and on later rooms a lookalike of the one who left with one thing changed (horns, a hat, an eye, the mouth or the build). A wrong pick ends the run.
- On difficulty 5 there are six rooms of 4 to 8 monsters. From the third room the rest shuffle in the dark and close the gap, so the empty spot no longer tells you who it was.
- You start on difficulty 3 of 10. Clear a difficulty to unlock the next: a shorter look, a fourth card, shuffling from the second room and, at the top, an extra monster in every room. Pick any unlocked difficulty with the arrows on the start card.
Tips
- Don’t try to remember everything about everyone. Remember one thing each, like the colour and what is on its head.
- Check the room first: any card whose monster is still standing there is wrong.
- A lookalike differs in one thing only. If two cards look nearly the same, one of them is the one who left.
- Everyone gets the same rooms all day, and new ones at midnight UTC. “Practice a new layout” deals fresh rooms any time, off the leaderboard.
