How to play Scribble Stack

  1. Draw a shape in one stroke anywhere above the tower. When you let go, it turns solid and drops onto the pedestal.
  2. Each piece has limited ink: the ring round your pen shows what is left. Over the tower or the pedestal the stroke waits, using no ink, and carries on when your pen is back in open space.
  3. Build up to the dashed line. Once the tower reaches it and stands still for two seconds, you win.
  4. A piece that falls off the pedestal counts as a drop. Lose more than you are allowed and the run ends.
  5. You start on difficulty 3 of 10. Higher difficulties put the line higher, give less ink per piece, narrow the pedestal and tilt it.
  6. The daily layout changes what the tower stands on: a plain block, a step with one side higher, a rounded hump, or (from difficulty 3) two posts with a gap. Everyone gets the same one all day, and a new one at midnight UTC.

Tips

  • Flat bottoms stack: a square or a box shape sits still where a scribble rolls.
  • Draw close above the tower. A piece dropped from high up lands hard and knocks the tower about.
  • Wait for the tower to settle before you draw the next piece.
  • A tall thin piece gains height fast but tips easily. Save it for the top.
  • On a hump, make the first piece hug it: a shape whose underside curves like the hump and whose top is flat. A square there rocks, and so does everything above it.
  • Over two posts, the first piece has to bridge the gap. Draw it wider than the gap.
  • “Practice a new layout” gives you a different stand any time, off the leaderboard.
